A fantastic alternative to store-bought BBQ sauce. What is the upside you ask? You know exactly what is in your sauce. No surprise ingredients, just yummy healthy goodness!


This recipe should take 10-15 minutes to make as it is an easy-difficulty recipe.



Ingredients you'll need to make your BBQ Sauce:

  • ¾ cups of sugar-free tomato sauce or tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoons of light olive oil. virgin coconut oil is an optional replacement
  • ½ teaspoon of smoked salt, or you can smoke the ingredients with charcoal or wood chips
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder, for a deeper flavor, use freshly roasted garlic.
  • Black pepper to taste

  • Directions for making your Mayonnaise:
    1. Add all the ingredients to a bowl.
    2. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.
    3. Season to taste.


    Variations:

    To make this recipe more keto-friendly, replace some of the tomato sauce, or puree, with cream cheese or home-made mayonnaise. If you can’t find any smoked salt or don’t like it, you can replace it with more smoked paprika powder.




    Top Tip:

    Healthy Homemade BBQ sauce can be used as basting for meats and roast vegetables, or as a dip for parties and get-togethers.
